About Us
The Wanganui-Manawatu Gliding Club have operated from Taonui Aerodrome, Feilding (NZFI) for more than 25 years now. The club operates every weekend, both Saturday and Sunday (and Public Holidays) - weather permitting. The public are welcome to simply drive up and talk to one of our friendly and experienced club members to arrange a 'Trial Flight' for that very day in GNP, our Grob Twin Astir two-seat primary trainer, or GDG, our state-of-the-art, high performance DG1000 two-seat club glider. Generally, you will get to go flying within the hour !! If you are interested in learning to glide or simply having the experience of a lifetime being towed by a 1960's topdressing aeroplane and then relaxing in the delightful peace of soaring amongst the clouds and hunting for thermal activity then we have a deal for you.....
